If y’all are still out there, thanks for waiting around.
I appreciate it.
I’ve been staring at my list of posts for a few minutes and letting myself realize that I have not been beating on this keyboard for a bit now. And I mean not beating on it at all. I have not made a post here or done any other kind of creative writing – gaming stuff included – since my last post on July 13th.
I’m thinking (and hoping) it’s time to change that.
I think I want to get the spark going in that gelatinous mass that I sit o… err that sits in the top of my head.
So, I’m gonna hit the gas and see what happens. Maybe this downtime has allowed for some refueling or something.
So, since I’ve been not posting…
I took another trip to my hometown of St. Louis, MO. It was not a bad visit at all. Again, the wife and I took a “back roads” route from DFW up there. We went through Arkansas – Harrison and Mountain Home – and then up through the middle of Missouri. It was a long route (almost 12 hours), but it was very scenic. It was a nice little adventure.
I just got back from a business trip to New Hampshire. While I do not enjoy traveling for business/job, I will confess that the little bit of New Hampshire I got to see is very pretty.
I got to experience a little of Boston since I had to fly into and back out of Logan International. I think it might be interesting to go there on my own someday. There is so much history to see there. The traffic sucks, though 😊.
Other than that, I have been working, playing a PC game now and then, spending time with my wife, and “hanging out” with my buddy online.
This fall/winter looks to get quite busy with my daughter reaching the end of her college education and the holidays approaching much faster than I think we all realize. We have to get her moved out of her half of a duplex and back home, and her stuff into storage until she lands her first job and finds a place to live on her own.
We also have to get ready for Christmas in StL. We’re going up this year. While a quiet Christmas at home was not horrible last year, being with the rest of the family, I’m thinking, is not something we want to miss again any time soon.
So, here we are. A post has been made – something I am happy about. I think I’m already looking forward to the next post and getting back into cranking out… something… from this blackhole I call a mind.
Type to you soon.
